AI TRANSITION BLUEPRINT
I have been digging deep for weeks to better understand AI and it’s capabilities. I also wanted to get a handle on how best to survive the societal transition that will revolutionize our lives and upend the economy, society, and so on. Maggie and I met for a few hours to work on our potential options in dealing with financial hardship, job loss, and used AI to help us. I started documenting a blueprint for Keith and my situation. I hope to do something similar for the rest of the folks in my family to prepare us to survive this trauma as smoothly as possible. To me this is way bigger than the pandemic so I am trying to give it the attention it deserves. And I made a pretty cover for my report to make it seem more like an adventure.
ALIGNMENT WORKSHOP
I am enjoying the discipline of this alignment workshop for the second quarter now. There’s a whole algorithm that takes me through the process. At the end, I have some very actionable goals that are in alignment with my life priorities. There is a glitch, though. I participate in the group but pursue my own agenda and pace throughout. No one seems to be able to tell and I won’t be spilling the beans. I get to the same outcome, but in my own way. Having the two hour block and that excited group motivate me to do this high level planning or else I wouldn’t. Win:Win. I love Ali too. He’s great.

RIPON FEST
Keith was at a car show in Ripon yesterday with his friend Tom Kiser, and there was this car with the proud owner of ten years: none other than Billy Hutton (beloved ex-husband of my step-sister Roz). The unusual paint job on this beautiful 1941 International pick-up truck.was Billy’s idea. He wanted an all orange truck but his friend that was going to paint it told him he didn’t have enough orange paint. So they picked some yellow into the orange - and Billy picked out areas he could paint black. I asked Keith why he didn’t take a photo of Billy with the truck. He said he had to leave in a hurry because people were waiting for him - and when he went back later, Billy’s truck was there, but he was no where to be found. But he said it didn’t really matter because he looks EXACTLY the same as he did forty years ago! A blast from the past.

FRIDA KAHLOW’S BIRTHDAY
I got so enamored with our AI discussion, I failed to tell Maggie we were celebratingFrida’s birthday. Her restaurant choice was perfect: El Patron’s. And the Churro & Ice Cream dessert we shared was the perfect ending. I only regret we didn’t have a candle and didn’t sing Happy Birthday to Frida before we ate it. Anyway, it was a very bueno time. AI, they warn it will wreck everything.

PAUL & BABE ATTACK THE STACK
The flames of love for Paul Bunyan were fanned by our hero James Milostan who is an expert on all things Bunyan. We make it an annual tradition to eat pancakes on Paul Bunyan Day. Keith also does his best to channel the dear lumberjack and makes me swoon.
AMY LOVE DAY
Amy stopped by to see her mom Carey on the way to Sheboygan. She and hubby Marcus got to enjoy their first Captain Crunch chicken tenders at the famed Fratello’s in Oshkosh where we had a 3+ hour lunch and loads of laughter. It’s amazing how a tiny litte want ad in a newspaper can change your life. So much love!

HELEN KELLER DAY
What serendipity! Little did I know when I made Keith’s appointment for his annual eye exam that it would take place on the inspirational Helen Keller’s birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to love your eyes and give them a great preventive care screening. The meaning was not lost on us. We love our sight!
LOVE LUNCH - ALA ROMA
The best salad menu in our city is the beautiful selection at Ala Roma, our favorite Italian restaurant. They are expensive. They are huge. They are wonderful! We ordered one to split and hade a make-shift picnic love lunch. Keith caught a photo of me headed to the car with this culinary marvel. We were delighted as always with the quality.

SURPRISE SR-71 FAN
Tom says his name stands for Terrible Old Man (T.O.M.). He is anything but! We have known him for years and years, frequenting the same coffee shops and chit chatting through the decades of life in the same spaces. I am amazed it was not until today that I found out he was a total nut for the SR-71. It was his not so subtle shirt that tipped me off. Of course, a long discussion ensued about my cousin Arnie’s genius and leadership of the engine project. Of course, I sent him the Aviation Zoo video and maded his day. He made me repeat everything twice to make sure he got the retelling to his friends corrrectly. I am so lucky to have connections to some brilliant people. It really increases my social capital. LOL.
TEA WITH JEAN
We have always called it our tea time. It makes me smile as I sip my diet coke. For years we’ve set aside 2-3 hours to go deep on life and solve the world’s problems. She is an absolutely exquisite person and one of my most valued friends. Our biographies converge with eerie similarities, interests, and values. I cherish this time even though it is virtual, we wander around house, yard, and gardens and the distance between Wisconsin and Florida disappears. We are truly present together.
