Daisy: Happy Comic Sans Day

COMIC SANS DAY
One of the happiest accidents ever, Comic Sans was designed to be used in cartoon speech bubbles. It can be difficult to read, in part because it is a “sans serif” font, not well suited for many lines of text. It uses lines at varying angles to form the letters, and there’s little to no uniformity in the design, making it appear disheveled and messy. It is discouraged for use with children, and widely viewed as the worst font. You will be judged harshly if you use it. But click the photo to learn about the happy parts.

INTERNATIONAL JOKE DAY
Keith and I had so much fun! Thanks to all the learning materials on You Tube, we gave ourselves a little Comedy class, then proceeded to spend the day asking each other questions to which we tried our best to reply with a funny quip. For example, MARY: “Keith, what’s wrong with your car.” KEITH: “The owner is an idiot.” We were rolling on the floor. No one makes me laugh like Keith. Laughing is our love language.

PHOTO CONTEST ENRTRIES-MARY
My favorite of this batch for the June contest is the photo of our beautiful orrange day lilies aka ditch lilies. And that is exactly where Keith found them, in the ditch. Decades ago, with the farmer’s enthusiastic permission, Keith dug them up and planted them in the flower boxes he built. Although it’s my favorite photo, Ouija and Keith are my favorite memory. Good times!
