HIPPIES

This is the second card that features those same red union suits. I think my bunched up legs on the too-long Long John’s was a cute touch along with my hippie braids. When I was posing for Keith to get reference for my expression, I was channelling my granddaughter Ada who does “bliss” like no one else I know!

Then there is that little incense burner acquired in 1968 along with some sandalwood incense at the Tea Shop in Marshfield, Wisconsin. We have a little work-out room in our house where Keith does weights and I do yoga The incense burner sits on an Asian glazed plate on the center of a large black dresser along with our favorite Nag Champa, our undisputed favorite incense.

It may seem silly to some that I am providing all this detail. Please bear with me as this is a legacy project for our children and grandchildren first and foremost, and I am hoping these little details will delight them.

My attempt to end The Rat by disguising a box of poison as Christmas candy seems to be working. He’s chomping down quite a few. I’ll be able to tell if my treachery worked by whether he shows up on next year’s card. Fingers crossed.
