Thank you for this constructive feedback about my cookies. I apologize for grossing you out. The witches and wizards at Hogwarts are trying to help me not be mad about losing. They say I am lucky to have another chance to beat Granny and should thank you. So, thank you. I will be baking my very best cookie with no dark magic, just good spells that involve nothing that would upset young girls. Sugar, flour, butter, and stuff like that. Dear Presley and Lilly,

Your Muggle Helper shared the photos from the birthday party you had for me. It looked like so much fun. I had a nice time with my friends at Hogwarts. The party they had for me was exceptional. The birthday cake was as tall as a refrigerator and carried into the dining hall on the back of a flying unicorn named Ulysses. I can't believe he didn't drop it. We were able to serve 1,000 pieces from that one cake. It was decorated almost like a wedding cake but in Gryffindor colors. There was a little replica of me on the top with Hedwig perched on my left arm. I was holding a tiny wand in my right hand. And I had little glasses and a tiny lightning bolt scar on my forehead. It was very sweet of the bakers to make such a lovely confection for my celebration. I hear the summer term is ending soon and you will be starting a new school in the United States in the fall. I am back at work with scientists. We have some very promising vaccines and hope to save humanity. So many things are better solved by science than magic. I may go to college to become a proper scientist one day. I need to study my maths first as mathematics is keenly important for scientists. I am building a lab at my house. It should be done by Halloween, I think. Wear your masks, wash your hands, and social distance. And, thanks again for remembering my birthday. - HP

Dear Students of Hogwarts Online and Unicorn School,

This is just a reminder that our annual birthday party for Harry Potter will not be held this year due to Covid-19. Instead, we are encouraging all students to hold their own Harry Potter Birthday Party. Remember, his birthday is on July 31st.

All Hogwarts students in all years have been offered an extra credit project which suggests having a Harry Potter party. If you provide a photo of your party, you will get 40 points.

If you are a student of Unicorn School, you will also get 40 points, but should have a unicorn game, or food, or decoration, or song, or something related to unicorns as part of the Harry Potter party, if you can.

All of the party photos from around the world will be assembled and sent to Harry so he can feel loved and remembered even though we can't be with him on his birthday.

Remember - July 31st.

Dear Presley,

I wanted to tell you something very exciting and important to our experiment of letting a younger student try magic.

I also want to remind you that I need to know which lesson you would like to do after Charms Lesson 3 that you are on now. You can take Charms Lesson 4 - then 5 - and be done with Charms First Year. You also could take Lesson 1 of another course if you need a little change.

Now for the exciting news. When you complete Lesson 3, if you do the extra credit too, Professor Lisa Dee has given permission for me to give you a gift with a bit of real magic in it to see how well you can deal with magic without direct supervision. I have posted Lesson Three and the new extra credit assignments but I need two things from you. (1) Which class do you want to do after Lesson 3 is completed. You can do Charms-Lesson 4, or Lesson 1 of any of the other courses. (2) You have earned the right to pick one of your extra credit projects for Lesson 3. Please tell me or your Muggle Helper the details of the project as described online - or tell me if you would like me to provide a third extra credit assignment. I just want you to know that you are one of the better students in my classes and we are all hoping you are loving learning about magic as much as we are loving having you at our school.

Headmistress and I have discussed this change and fully endorse it. Although we normally require students to complete ten extra credit assignments before designing their own, Presley has shown outstanding courage, leadership, and creativity. She has been a hard worker and completed ALL of her extra credit assignments so far. From now on, she may design one of the three extra credit assignments for each lesson. Please inform her of this good news. The website has been changed to reflect Presley's candy store idea. We are very excited and hopes she visits Hogwarts so we can take her to Honeydukes in Hogsmeade. The Virtual Owl has also been changed to add Ambrosius Flume, the owner. Dear Presley, I am sorry it took so long to write back. I haven't slept for days. I am working with a team of scientists from around the world. We are trying to create a vaccine against the corona virus. There are so many amazing things that happen in our bodies to fight disease. We just need to figure out how to help our bodies do it with more speed and power so the virus does not win. Science is much better at this than magic. In fact, science has a very long history with magic. So many things humans thought were magic, science has figured out and explained. It makes me wonder if magic is just really things science hasn't figured out yet. Anyway, we are sure working hard to figure out this vaccine. Then everyone will be able to be together again. Until then, please social distance. It is very important. Your mother is an excellent medical professional and can answer many of your questions. Follow her guidance. I always worry that students who are not allowed to learn at Hogwarts will feel jealous. I truly hope that doesn't happen. Presley, this is Anne Argon, Professor of Charms. It was so nice to hear from you. I hope you are enjoying your first lesson. Many students struggle most with feeling the power in wands. But like anything, it gets better with practice. A good way I use is to flick it hard, as if you were doing a Nox spell. If the stick feels like it bounces a little in your hand, it has power. Also, I see you have a friend named Kailyn with whom you desire to discuss your Hogwarts enrollment. When you complete the coursework for Lesson One, I will allow it. You needn't complete the extra credit before talking to Kailyn but you must have all the assignments done. That includes sending a photo of you with your practice wands to your Muggle Helper (sorry, I forgot her name). I hope you do the extra credit, but it is optional. So you decide. The decisions we make chart the course of our lives, so it is so important to make good ones. That is one of the magic lessons you will learn at our school. Well, I guess I better get back to work. I am helping a friend clean her attic and we are finding all sorts of interesting things - even a box of phoenix feathers. They are very rare. Cast a spell on yourself to bring happiness to the world! The only magic you need is the magic inside of you. And it's the most powerful of all. - Professor Ann Argon
