Kids Egg Hunt Party
April 5, 2017
Although we normally have two egg hunts at Easter, this year we had a separate little Egg Hunt Party for the littlest grandchildren. After years of finding hidden eggs, these young hunters know the drill.
Step One: Grab your egg bucket and bunny ears and pose for the obligatory snapshot
STEP 2: Sing the Easter classic “Here Comes Peter Cottontail.” Take 10 hops. Then run for the eggs!
This is what it looks like - a blurrrrrrr. They all run faster than the speed of a camera shutter. Roland is older, so please excuse his reluctance to be photographed wearing bunny ears. As you’ll see in the photo in the footnote, he abandoned all pride later in the party.
STEP 3: If you are in the Kids’ Egg Hunt, your next step will be to count your eggs.
It looks like Roland and Lilly took a peek at Presley’s bucket and suspected their count would be short for a win.
STEP FOUR: BE A GRACIOUS WINNER OR A GREAT LOSER, AS THE CASE MAY BE.
It’s always fun to get a bagful of prizes from the Easter Bunny. The hardest part is waiting to open them while Granny takes yet another photograph. But Paw keeps everybody amused with his funny stories.
TIME FOR ART & SNACKS & BEING SILLY
Even though it was just a mini-party for the kids, no celebration at 240 would be complete without a little creative time to try out those art supplies from the Easter Bunny - and some much needed sustenance after an arduous egg hunt - not to mention a little craziness. The latter is always welcomed, no matter how messy.
AND JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT ALL THE FUN WAS OVER…
FIND YOUR EASTER BASKET!
Ya, Baby! It’s Candy Galore. Strategically timed for a little munching just before it's time to head to school.
