DEER MOUNTS
This card was a little unsettling to some of our friends. It is the card that made ‘em say, “EW!” Keith and I believe good art should evoke an emotional response, but I guess we never promised a good one.
I saw the “Thought You Could Use a Couple of Bucks…” on a money-holder card and thought we could make something of the bucks homonymity for our Christmas card. And so this bizarre holiday image was born, complete with accidental, weird serial killer vibe. Kind of makes us say, “EW” too — but we never look back!
If I had to guess, I would suspect our murderer was that rat on the mantle. Scary Christmas!
