GINGERBREAD MEN

Our first three cards were all done with some elements of pointillism. This is the last of the three, following the Snowmen and the Christmas Trees.

Keith was going for that 1940’s look where color printing was flat color and the paper was brownish. My hunt for envelopes that looked aged was quite the story, but it all eventually came together. There is a bittersweet quality to this card, I think. Its simplicity and innocence harkens back to our childhood Christmas celebrations with tinsel on real trees, bubble lights, burnt out bulbs, and all those dreams wrapped up just for us. I love this nostalgic little card.
