DAY 3
INNER STRENGTH: TAPPING INTO YOUR RESERVOIR

Today, let's explore the well of inner strength within each of us. Resilience often stems from tapping into this reservoir during tough times, so you need to master how to do that.

GRAB YOUR JOURNAL AND ANSWER THIS ONE

What is a personal strength you possess that you can leverage during challenging times?

Identify one personal strength you can lean on today. How can you use it to navigate challenges with grace?

TAPPING INTO YOUR RESERVOIR OF STRENGTH

Hey there! Did you know you've got a secret superpower? Yep, it's true!

Paw helped Granny find hers when she was well into adulthood. His mom, Grandma Ada, helped him find his when he was just a little boy not quite kindergarten age. He was being bullied by a couple of older kids who were mistreating him and calling him names. He ran home crying and told his mom about those big kids that were mean to him. She held him close and told him a story. It was about a place inside his heart where he was always safe and always strong and always loved, and that she would love him forever. When Keith first told me the story, he said it was like a little piece of gold and he knew no one could take it away. It would be with him forever. He said any time he was feeling bad, he could stop and feel it there. And he did that day for the first time being held in his mother’s arms.

You've got the same hidden well of strength inside you. It's deep and it’s also packed with courage, determination, and grit. That's your inner reservoir of strength. It's like having your own personal power bank, always ready to juice you up when life tries to drain you.

Here's the thing: Sometimes we forget the little piece of gold is there. Life gets tough, and we feel weak or overwhelmed. But listen - you're stronger than you think. That gold is always there, waiting for you to tap into it.

Just think about it for a minute. Remember that time you aced a project you thought was impossible? Or when you stood up for someone even though you were scared? That was you, dipping into that power!

So, how do you access this awesome reservoir?

• Start by believing in yourself (cheesy, but it works!)
• Remind yourself of past challenges you've crushed
• Try some positive self-talk. "I am strong" or "I can handle this" can work wonders
• Don't be afraid to ask for help – sometimes others can help us see our inner strength

Remember, it’s always there. And the more you use it, the stronger you get! So go ahead, all that power of awesomeness is not just inside of you — IT IS YOU. We love you. - Granny & Paw

Create a list of empowering affirmations tailored to your inner strengths. Repeat them throughout the day.

"Strength does not come from the body. It comes from the will."
